While lacking in innovation, the craftsmanship of the Polo 79 is exceptionally solid in every version. The case and bracelet are exquisitely crafted, and the 1200P movement is a tried-and-tested reliable choice with an impressive thickness; while slightly industrial, it's generally acceptable.

The use of two different shades of gold, rather than a steel-gold combination, is a clever design choice.

Polo Charm
Two-tone Polo watches are not new, as Piaget has released many such models in the past. However, two-tone designs are no longer fashionable, making this combination relatively rare. Nevertheless, this combination complements the Polo watch itself, aligning with its design philosophy and echoing its origins.

The Polo 79 two-tone model is actually a combination of white gold and yellow gold. It's essentially a white gold model, simply replacing the white gold finish with a yellow gold finish.

The contrasting colors not only enhance the watch's vintage feel but also highlight the Polo's linear design.

Like the monochrome version, the two-tone model also employs a "slot-type" structure, with the case and bracelet components nested within each other. Thanks to precise tolerance control, there are no visible seams between the parts.

This unique structure gives the bracelet a robust feel while remaining sufficiently supple, making it very comfortable to wear on the wrist. Considering the watch's weight, this ergonomic design is particularly practical.

Through the transparent case back, the 1200P caliber movement is visible, a typical Piaget movement. Its diameter is relatively large, but thanks to the micro-rotor, the case remains slim. What might the 2026 Watch & Wonders exhibition bring?

Will Patek Philippe release a stainless steel Nautilus watch for its 50th anniversary? We can't be certain, but there are some speculations. Considering Patek Philippe's current focus on precious metals and the discontinuation of the 5711/1A model, we believe a stainless steel Nautilus watch is unlikely.

However, we believe a faithful tribute to the 3700/1A might be crafted in 18K white gold or 18K yellow gold, with a matching dial or a fully skeletonized dial.
